Ron Brown, “Running for city council is personal for me, it’s a passion."

Hoover, Ala. - Entrepreneur Ron Brown, a local Hoover resident, announced his candidacy for Hoover City Council Place 2 on June 11th, 2020.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Brown earned a law degree from Birmingham School of Law. He and his family moved to Hoover six years ago. Brown and his wife, Naomi, have been married for 13 years and have two sons.

Brown credits his wife for their move to Hoover. Since settling in Hoover, Brown has become invested in the business community and is ready to invest in all of Hoover.

“Everyone wants change, but sometimes in life, you have to put yourself out there to encourage the change or simply become the change, said Brown. “Hoover, Alabama, is a great city to live and to raise a family, but I believe it has the capabilities to be so much more than a city….it can be a destination.”
